WDSGlobal launches new OTA and OTW websites in the United States
26th November 2002
This month sees the launch of OTA and OTW sites for two of the largest US
networks - AT&T Wireless and Verizon Wireless. This means we now provide
web based tools for three of the five largest carriers in North America.
AT&T Wireless Care Tools
This site combines OTA configuration with OTWM to provide a complete package
for AT&T Wireless customer care. All setup guides are unique to AT&T, and
make use of their own connection manager software. The roll out of these
tools included an extensive training program, where WDS trained call center reps in a hands-on environment. We've also deployed a direct SMPP
connection to AT&T Wireless to provide high capacity SMS delivery for OTA.
We'll soon be adding WiFi configuration to this site, and a version will
also shortly be rolled out publicly to AT&T Wireless' end users.
Verizon Wireless Concept Store Touchscreen
This site forms part of a wider kiosk application being deployed in Verizon Wireless' new concept store at South Coast Plaza Mall in Orange County, CA. This flagship store is a test bed for multimedia tools and services which
will eventually be rolled out to Verizon Wireless stores across the Country. All-new content allows customers to build data solutions around the Verizon
Wireless CDMA 1XRTT Express Network by making choices on a touchscreen.
Later on we will also be working on solutions that incorporate WDSGlobal Knowledge
into giant Plasma screens.
