WDSGlobal announce the official launch of their Wireless Data Knowledge Management System

WDSGlobal, the leader in support, training and development services to the wireless data industry today announced the launch of the 'mywds configurator' knowledge management tool, enabling the integration of wireless data knowledge into web and e-commerce sites.

The mywds configurator draws on an extensive knowledge of wireless data products and services to aid the user in selecting and configuring a wireless solution. With an awareness of the ever-changing range of mobile handsets, PDAs, PCs connectivity products and network services the tool will build solutions for email access, WAP, web and many other mobile applications.

Integrating into e-commerce or traditional 'bricks and mortar' retail environments this ensures that the products sold are known to be compatible, with a minimum requirement for post-sales support from the vendor, service provider or mobile network operator.

A further benefit is the ability to deliver setup guides and answers to common questions directly to the user and to configure many wireless Internet and WAP services 'over-the-air' (OTA), reducing the requirement for staff training and knowledge in the pre-sales environment.

The mywds configurator is a Java application with knowledge delivered through XML. A central Oracle Enterprise database houses the knowledgebase - which is continuously managed and updated by WDS technical staff located around the globe.
